DWAYNE MATTIS won’t play again this year, but fellow former Town player Mark Hudson, right, is celebrating his return from a knee injury.
Town Academy product Mattis sustained a broken leg while playing for Walsall on loan from Barnsley recently and will be out for at least three months.
Hudson, signed by Rotherham after being released by Town in the close-season, needed surgery after damaging knee ligaments in pre-season.
But he finally made his Millers debut as a substitute in Saturday’s 3-1 home League II win over Morecambe, who included ex-Town man Danny Adams.
Former Chesterfield midfielder Hudson, 26, was booked for his part in a mass skirmish.
Rotherham manager Mark Robins, whose side are ninth, said: “Huddy has worked exceptionally hard to speed up his comeback, and he’s determined to make up for lost time.”
