AS WELL as being the fastest all-headed hat trick in Football League history, beating the 78-year-old record of Everton legend Dixie Dean (pictured), Jordan Rhodes’ threesome against Exeter, which came in 10 minutes of play either side of half-time, was the first by a Town player since Andy Booth helped defeat Rotherham 4-1 in March 2006.

Town’s three previous hat-trick scorers were:

GARY TAYLOR-FLETCHER in the 4-2 League Cup first-round win at Chesterfield in 2005-06.

PAWEL ABBOTT in the 3-0 League I win at Port Vale in 2004-05.

ANDY BOOTH in the 3-0 League I win at Northampton Town in 2001-02.
