A MEMORIAL match is being held at Grange Moor in memory of Molly Booth.
To celebrate the life of the popular former Grange Moor secretary, the club are taking on Flockton at Liley Lane a week tomorrow, Saturday, July 12 (3.00).
Molly was not only a very prominent and popular member of the community until she suffered cancer and died at the age of 77, but she was secretary of the football club for 28 years.
The game will be played between past and present players of both clubs and all are welcome to attend.
Grange Moor brass band will perform before the kick off and during half time and refreshments will be available throughout.
The match will be followed by an evening’s entertainment in The Grange Pub and Restaurant, a disco will be held as well as a raffle and auction (with a supper).
All proceeds from the day will be presented to Kirkwood Hospice and Cancer Research UK.
