HUDDERSFIELD Town midfielder Anthony Pilkington is targeting a return to training in the pre-season.

The 22-year-old broke a leg and dislocated an ankle during Town’s 2-1 victory in the Pennine derby against Rochdale at the Galpharm Stadium on March 8.

Pilkington, who has 14 goals to his credit this season, suggested that the pre-season was his aim but added: “It’s always a case of taking one step at a time.

“The ankle is all reset back into place really nice and it is just the fibia that’s got a plate and a few screws in it.

“I’m just grateful to be looking to the future and start talking about rehab now.”
