PETER JACKSON took a swipe at Town's critics today and vowed: "We're good enough to go up!"

The manager was incensed by negative taunts during the 5-0 demolition of MK Dons which pushed Town third and kept them four points off top place.

"Everything is set up now for our toughest away game left at Swansea on Friday," said Jacko today.

"But why we are still getting stick from certain sections of the home crowd just baffles me.

"I heard them, 15 minutes into the second half, criticising me and criticising the players and I can't understand it. I don't know what they want. We won 5-0.

"I know we are good enough to go up and the players know it - that's why it's an important run-in for us and that's why we need every single fan right behind us, not grumbling and moaning like some of them seem to do."

Jacko added: "We've had strong finishes the last two years and the indications are good again.

"No-one will give it more for promotion than us. We might not always play well but I can guarantee we will always give it 100%, and I don't know why some fans can't see that commitment.

"Our effort and desire won't be matched by anyone because all our players enjoy playing for this fantastic football club.

"That's what was missing before I returned here - that desire to play for Huddersfield Town - but it's shone through for two and a half years and I just wish some supporters would have that same desire as the team."

Jackson will field a strong Reserve side against Nottingham Forest at the Galpharm on Wednesday (2.00).

"Our run-in is probably the easiest of all the teams in the top six and we are going in full of confidence having taken nine points out of nine with three clean sheets and having scored five goals at home.

"A lot of good players can't even get in the side at the moment and we just have to keep our heads, keep going and keep picking up points. We're good enough, no doubts."
