MANAGER Peter Jackson is backing Pawel Abbott to bounce straight back to form.
The nine-goal leading scorer was taken off in the 1-1 draw against Colchester when replacement Gary Taylor-Fletcher was on target with an equaliser.
"It was an easy decision to take Pav off because he wasn't playing well," said Jackson, who recalled Tom Clarke after suspension and Chris Brandon on the right at the expense of Junior Mendes, who wasn't even on the bench.
"Pav was giving the ball away too easily and not looking sharp at all.
"It was just one of those games for him to just forget and move on to the next.
"I know he'll be back because he is a quality striker who has done brilliantly for me this season and brilliantly for the team."
On the match, Jackson added: "We rode our luck because we could have been three or four down early on.
"I think the rigours of the Blackburn Cup-tie showed because we fell short, but we worked hard to get back with a good goal from Fletch and created some other good chances. Andy Booth could have had a hat trick on another day.
"Now, we've got a wonderful chance in two home matches to press on and get back to winning ways."
