MANAGER Peter Jackson will experiment with a sweeper system in the Copa de Ibiza finale against Swindon in San Antonio tomorrow.

Nathan Clarke gets the job of shadowing Martin McIntosh and David Mirfin as Jackson makes 11 changes from the side beaten 2-1 by the Ibiza Select on Monday.

It means a chance at left wing-back for Irish teenager James Hand, who is in his first senior pre-season.

And Jackson is delighted to have Andy Holdsworth back on the right of his new-look defence after recovering from closed- season groin surgery.

"I want to just see how things work out with a different shape to the side," said Jackson.

"That's what pre-season and tours like this are all about and it's a chance for the rest of the squad to show what they can do.

"I'm very pleased with the way our pre-season training is going and the only disappointment is the result from the other night.

"On another evening we could easily have won by six, but we didn't and we have to learn from that and move on."

Swindon have six new signings in their squad, including former Town player Jamie Vincent and loanee Fola Onibuje, and Jackson expects a tough workout as the Copa de Ibiza tournament - now a mini-league - reaches a climax.

"I'm delighted to have Andy Holdsworth back with us," added Jackson, who put the players through a gym session and swimming in the sea before yesterday's full evening training session.

"Andy is looking strong once again and I'm looking forward to watching him perform against Swindon.

"Jimmy Hand is also looking strong and fit and this is another good opportunity for him.

"It's a big step up from the Academy into your first full pro contract, but he has taken to pre-season well, with a very good attitude.

"In fairness, all the lads have shown a great attitude since we came back for pre-season and they've all worked really hard.

"The only disappointment tomorrow is that Aaron Hardy won't be able to take part at some stage, so he will be the only one who hasn't had a run-out here.

"Azza took a knock on the ankle in training in a challenge with Adnan Ahmed and the joint has swollen up, so it's unfortunate but he'll have to sit this one out."

Swindon took a firm grip on the trophy last night with a 5-0 win over a tired-looking Ibiza Select XI.

Former Town loanee Jerel Ifil scored his first goal for the Robins in over 100 games to add to a double by trialist Royce Brownlie.

Jack Smith, from a penalty, and Uruguayan trialist Rodrigo Turnes got the other goals.
