JOE SKARZ reckons the quicker Town get to grips with the stifling tactics used by many visitors to the Galpharm, the better.

Lee Clark’s side have been held to successive goalless draws in home games, with Brentford, then Stockport County, both putting the squeeze on the previously free-scoring home team.

Exeter City come North a week today, and Skarz says he and his teammates continue to work on ways of breaking sides down.

“Against Stockport last week, we tried to start at a high tempo and put pressure on them from the beginning, a bit like Millwall did to us the week before,” said the left-back.

“We wanted to get a quick goal and force them to open up, but unfortunately we allowed them to get hold of the ball too often and therefore dictate the pace of the game.

“It was frustrating and we have to ensure it’s a lesson learned.”
