OLIVER NORWOOD says Huddersfield Town won’t allow Jordan Rhodes’ return to become a distraction as they aim to topple Blackburn Rovers at the John Smith’s Stadium tomorrow.

The former Town favourite will be back in Huddersfield two months after his £8m move with the Championship rivals level pegging on 23 points after Simon Grayson’s seventh-placed side beat Bristol City 1-0 while sixth-placed Rovers went down 2-0 at Crystal Palace.

That setback at Selhurst Park, where new Palace chief Ian Holloway watched from the stand, leaves Blackburn’s freshly-installed Norwegian boss Henning Berg still seeking a first win.

Town bounced back from successive defeats at Peterborough and Millwall thanks to Sean Scannell’s first goal for the club (he is pictured being congratulated by Adam Clayton, left, and Joel Lynch).

And former Manchester United midfielder Norwood says Town, who were without injured strikers Jermaine Beckford and James Vaughan on Saturday, are well capable of making it two wins running against Rhodes and Co.
