THERE was a boost for Golcar Juniors as three of their players turned out for Huddersfield Town’s academy development team against Spen Valley Boys, who won 2-0.
The trio – Anthony Collinson, Kyle Walton and Oliver Russell – all play for Golcar’s Under 12 team, which was set up just four years ago by Steve Russell.
The team won the RCD League’s Division III title at Under 11 level last term and reached two cup finals.
The club are also expanding having set up an Under 8 team under coach Nick Audsley and anyone interested in joining the club should contact either Steve Russell on 07931-105606 or Nick Audsley on 07505-124667.
