NATHAN CLARKE today assessed Town's FA Cup challenge against Blackpool and admitted: "We have to kick on."

The 22-year-old returned to senior action in the 1-1 League draw against Scunthorpe and can't wait to get cracking in Saturday's first-round tie.

He believes there's much more to come from Peter Jackson's side than has been shown this season and Clarke (left) is keen to start proving that in a cut-price, pay-at-the-gate home clash.

"Everyone admits we haven't played to our full potential so far this season and we really do have to start kicking on," said Clarke.

"Saturday's result was a positive because we really had to dig in to pull the game around, so there's no reason why we can't use that extra confidence to push on in the League and the Cup.

"There is a lot more to come from everyone in the side, so we've just got to work to the max to get our best form back."

Manager Jackson, who watched the Juniors win 1-0 at Grimsby last night in the Youth Cup, again had injured trio Andy Booth, Danny Schofield and Chris Brandon missing from training.
