HUDDERSFIELD'S derby rivals Westend went into this game with seven straight wins behind them, but found it hard going against a strong Town Reserves, who battled well for a 3-3 draw.
Westend took the lead after five minutes before Rebecca Catling poked home the equaliser in a goalmouth scramble.
Claire Townsend put Town 2-1 up early in the second half, but constant pressure brought Westend's equaliser with 15 minutes left.
Town thought they had wrapped up the points when from a breakaway Claire Gibson scored with an excellent left-foot strike, but in the dying moments West End shared the spoils when they levelled again.
Huddersfield's Under 16s enjoyed a 7-3 win at Bradford City, despite going 2-0 down in the early stages.
Rebecca Catling pulled one back for her side, but Bradford added a third for a 3-1 half-time lead.
With the wind at their backs in the second half, however, it was a different game, and Town dominated with a further goal from Catling followed by three from Kate Mallin and one each from Raegen Cartledge and Jess Williamson.
The Under 14s lost 9-0 at home to Doncaster Parklands Rovers, while the Under 12s lost 1-0 to Chesterfield, but pulled off a 3-1 win over White Rose with goals from Heidi Wilkinson, Amy Whiteley and Jordain Allison.
