TOWN Ladies chalked up a third successive North-East Regional Women’s League win to go fifth in the Premier Division table.

Peterlee were beaten 2-0 on a very heavy pitch in County Durham, where Emily Heckler notched both goals.

The first was from Kate Mallin’s cross in the 25th minute, the second from Jo Symington’s centre in the 70th.

Peterlee created some pressure in the last 20 minutes but Town captain and player of the match Becky Shaw marshalled her defence well.
