HUDDERSFIELD Town forward Danny Cadamarteri has agreed a deal to join Dundee United according to reports.

The former Everton man is poised to sign a pre-contract deal after leaving Town.

Cadamarteri turned down the offer of a new deal at the Galpharm and it appears United have won the race for the 29-year-old's signature, according to Skysports.

Dundee United are believed to be prepared to offer Cadamarteri a two-year deal to lure him to Tannadice.

United boss Craig Levein is a big admirer of Cadamarteri, having signed him during his time in charge of Leicester, and a deal is expected to be concluded once the SPL seasons finishes this weekend.

Bristol Rovers say they have had no bids for striker Rickie Lambert despite newspaper reports of interest.

Newly promoted Peterborough United were said to be ready to make a bid for Rovers top scorer but a club source in Bristol said that, so far, no bids had been received for the 29-goal hitman.

Coventry City, Bolton and Huddersfield Town have all been linked with the Liverpudlian since the end of the season.
