TOWN manager Lee Clark confirmed he "already has some calls out" to try and secure his top signing targets before the summer transfer window opens.

The Galpharm boss – who has Andy Holdsworth (ankle) back in training – is already working towards re-shaping his League I squad.

And he’s keen to do quick business when the transfer market opens again.

"The only thing you can do at this stage is try and reach agreement with his club for any player you want," explained Clark.

"That sets the wheels in motion and if there is agreement and they give you permission to speak to the player, then you can get things in place so the paperwork can be completed as soon as the window opens.

"We already have some calls out to clubs in that regard and, if things fall into place for us, in the first couple of weeks of the window opening we could have some good signings coming in."

Loan signing Martin Kelly could make his home debut in today’s clash with Southend at the Galpharm (3.00).
