A RUN of three straight defeats has dragged Town five points adrift of the League I play-off places and they can ill afford many more slip-ups with just 10 matches remaining.

In most places Lee Clark’s men are narrow favourites to get back to winning ways as they travel to Leyton Orient, but bookies are nevertheless far from convinced that Town are over their blip.

Subsequently, they’re as high as 6/4 with Betfred to return with all three points, while the hosts are 19/10 courtesy of Betdaq and Paddy Power post 23/10 against the draw.

Three of the hosts’ last four at Brisbane Road have finished all square and so the latter might prove tempting for some.

Similarly a 1-1 stalemate at 6/1 with 888Sport as well as totesport’s 7/2 for both halves to end level could attract cash, and the undecided will like the look of Stan James’ 4/9 for Town to emerge with either one point or all three.

Travelling supporters can back their side at 10/3 with bet365 to shade a tight encounter by a one-goal margin.

And as the clash could be Orient’s eighth in their last nine to produce fewer than 2.5 goals (17/20, Jaxx.com), a decent case can made for Victor Chandler’s 7/1 chalked against a 1-0 away win.

Elsewhere, Ladbrokes offer Clark’s charges at 4/1 to register a win having gone in on level terms at the break, William Hill make it 15/8 for the deadlock to be unbroken at the break and Partybets price Town at 6/4 to keep a clean sheet.

At the other end, Jordan Rhodes, above, is William Hill’s 11/2 favourite to open the scoring.
