Huddersfield Town entertain League One side Port Vale at the John Smith's Stadium in the FA Cup 3rd Round this afternoon.
Head Coach David Wagner will be hoping to claim a first cup competition victory as Town boss at the expense of a struggling Valiants side currently in 15th place in the SkyBet League One table.
On-loan Chelsea forward Izzy Brown could make his debut after joining on loan yesterday afternoon but winger Sean Scannell (ankle) and midfielder Jonathan Hogg (thigh) are both still unavailable.
For the visitors, Port Vale have a shortage of firepower upfront as on-loan striker Alex Jones has been recalled to Birmingham City before being sold him to Bradford City.

FT: Huddersfield Town 4 Port Vale 0
That’s it - Huddersfield Town have eased into Monday night’s draw for the FA Cup 4th Round...it’s a hassle free passage as well for David Wagner’s side with plenty of firsts for the season, capped with an impressive debut from Izzy Brown.
Additional Time
The referee has indicated only one additional minute to be added on at the end of the game - should be more but I think the whistler realises the game is up...
Carnival Football
Lots of Ole Ole from the Huddersfield Town fans at the moment as David Wagner’s men keep the ball - Port Vale look dead on their feet to be fair.
Huddersfield Town 4 Port Vale 0
84 Minutes: It’s a second goal of the game for Jack Payne - more great play from the home side, Holmes-Dennis whips in a superb low cross for Payne to tap it in.
Fan Reaction
Touch of sarcasm from fans on twitter - although it is against a side a league below I hasten to add!!
Huddersfield Town 3 Port Vale 0
80 Minutes: Another goal and another nail in the Vale coffin - Tommy Smith finds Harry Bunn down the right and the forward cuts inside and beautifully curls a shot past Vale’s keeper.
Substitution
75 Minutes: Final substitution of the game sees Jerome Thomas replaced by Anton Forrester.
Huddersfield Town 2 Port Vale 0
73 Minutes: That’s it! Town have the second goal which surely seals the win and passage to the 4th Round of the FA Cup!! Kasey Palmer tries his luck from 20 yards out and his shot is deflected into the net.
Off The Line!!
72 Minutes: Port Vale’s Sam Hart clears Jack Payne’s effort off the line after some good work from substitute Harry Bunn.
Really need this pressure to count!
Final Substitution
71 Minutes: And that’s the end of Brown’s contribution today as he is replaced by Tommy Smith - who goes across to the right wing.
So Close!
69 Minutes: Izzy Brown meets Harry Bunn’s cross but his deft shot trickles just wide of the post. What a goat that would have been on his debut/birthday!!
Substitution
67 Minutes: Well the fans have been singing his name for the last few minutes and they get their wish - Aaron Mooy comes on for Philip Billing.
Training Ground Football
It’s all gone a bit like a training ground game at the moment - Town happy to stroke it around with Port Vale clearly tiring...
Expert View
Town are still in control but Port Vale are showing signs of rallying around - although their methods seem a bit strange to Doug Thomson...
They are 1-0 down but seem to be wasting time - maybe that’s the ploy, do that and snatch a goal.
Substitution
59 Minutes: As predicted, Vale’s keeper Jak Alnwick is forced off with Miguel Santos replacing him.
Substitution
58 Minutes: Surprisingly it’s Joe Lolley that is replaced by Harry Bunn for David Wagner’s men.
Port Vale Keeper
Jak Alnwick has taken a few knocks today and it looks like he may have to be replaced in a few minutes - Harry Bunn is warming up on the touchline for Huddersfield Town as well....I’d say for Izzy Brown - nice cameo from the debutant today.
Offside!!!
52 Minutes: Town have the ball in the net through Martin Cranie but the flag is up for offside - all Town at the moment but I’d be happier when David Wagner’s side have a second!
Early Chance
47 Minutes: More great football in and around the Port Vale area from Huddersfield Town - Jack Payne cuts the ball back to Kasey Palmer but his shot is blocked on the line.
Teams Are Out
The teams are out and the second-half is on it’s way! C’mon Town, lets get this wrapped-up early please!
HT: Huddersfield Town 1 Port Vale
A comfortable opening 45 minutes for David Wagner’s side, always in control of the game and deservedly lead at the mid-way point.
Kasey Palmer should have doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time though - will Town live to regret that in the second-half? Only time will tell...
Close!
45+1 Minutes: It should have been two there for Town!! Kasey Palmer meets Jon Gorenc Stankovic’s superb ball but fires over one-on-one.
Added Time
The referee indicates three minutes of additional time to be added on at the end of the first-half.
