Huddersfield Town’s Under 21 side features two trialists and a very young debutant at Sheffield Wednesday today.

Development coach Frankie Bunn takes a young line-up for the Professional Development League 2 North meeting at Wednesday’s Middlewood Road Training Ground.

Town, fresh from a 1-1 draw at southern table leaders Charlton Athletic last week, have Liverpool goalkeeper Andy Firth in the side, along with Everton left-back Spencer Myers.

Teenager Firth has already played once for Town’s Under 21s, in a 1-0 victory over Birmingham City.

Myers has turned out twice for Town Under 18s – he is a second-year scholar – and if he was to join Town next season he would be a first-year pro Under 21 player.

England Under 17 cap Jordan Williams makes his debut for Bunn’s side at the age of just 16.

Town are second in the PDL2 North table with 52 points, two points behind leaders Sheffield United with three games in hand.

Wednesday are 10th in the table with 24 points from 21 games.

In the PDL2, teams can play a maximum of three overage outfield players and an overage goalkeeper.
