JERMAINE BECKFORD is fast becoming a hit among the Huddersfield Town faithful and another goal from the on-loan Leicester man proved the difference in our win at Barnsley.

Beckford’s fantastic header was provided by another on-loan man, this time debutant from Reading, Simon Church. The goal sent Town’s massed bank of travelling fans into a frenzy.

Town have now leapfrogged Blackburn to move back into sixth in the Championship, and with a third of the season gone things are looking very promising for Simon Grayson’s men.

Next up are Brighton, who visit the John Smith’s Stadium this Saturday. Gus Poyet’s men sit in eighth and it’s sure to be a tough test with the likes of in-form striker Craig Mackail-Smith finding the net regularly.

This week’s teaser question is: Who scored Town’s seventh goal against Brighton at home in the 7-1 victory in 2009?

The first person to email the answer at competitions@htsa-online.co.uk is the winner, and this will be announced on the HTSA website and in next week’s Examiner.

We hope to be offering a prize in the coming weeks to whoever wins, so watch this space.

The answer to last week’s question – who scored Town’s first-leg play-off goal against Barnsley at Oakwell in 2006? – was Gary Taylor-Fletcher.

Just a reminder the open meeting for supporters with manager Grayson has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 13.

It’s a 7.30 start and the venue has been confirmed as the Barclays Club, 189-191 North Road, Dewsbury WF13 3AH.

With HTSA Travel, next up are away trips to Charlton and Middlesbrough.

The trip to Charlton a week on Saturday has a departure time of 8am and is £19 for members and £21 for non-members. The trip to Middlesbrough on Tuesday November 27 has a departure time of 4pm. Fans can book at the cabin this Saturday or by contacting 07926 165863.

We have a Question of Sport fundraiser at Canalside on December 8 after the Bolton game, from 7.30pm, which is free for all to attend – so please come down and support the Huddersfield Town Foundation.
