Huddersfield Town defender Anthony Gerrard says he would consider a permanent switch to Oldham Athletic.

The centre-back, who is out of contract this summer, is on loan to the Latics until the end of this season.

He has played five times for the League I club and helped keep three clean sheets.

And the 29-year-old, who was out of favour under Chris Powell at Town, is happy at SportsDirect.com Park.

“I’m enjoying my football here so I’d definitely consider a move if an offer came in,” he said.

“The fans are treating me well and all of the lads are top drawer. That’s what it’s about for me.

“I wasn’t playing at Huddersfield and people can quickly forget about you if you’re not in the team.

“I came to Oldham to get my face about and show that I’m fit and available.

“There is one match left so once that’s out the way I will think about my future.

“I have to do what is best for me and my family.”

Former Everton trainee Gerrard joined he joined from Cardiff City in August 2012.

He has made 91 Town appearances in all.

Gerrard has also played for Walsall and had loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Hull City.
