BAY Athletic were the club of the season in local football.
Their first team won the West Riding League title for a third successive year.
And they also took the Huddersfield FA Challenge Cup with a 3-1 victory over Newsome United at the Galpharm Stadium.
And the reserves enjoyed more success at the Galpharm, taking the Works League’s Hoyle Cup with victory over Aimbry.
In the District League, Newsome United gained consolation for the cup defeat by taking the title to end a great year which saw them move to their new home at Primrose Hill.
Netherton, who swept to the Division 2 title, took the Barlow Cup.
Sunday football was dominated by Huddersfield Irish Centre who enjoyed a good run in the Carlsberg Sunday Cup, took the Sunday League for a third year and also picked up the Rollinson Cup.
