Huddersfield Town fans experienced another day of disappointment with a 4-2 defeat to Brentford on the final Saturday before Christmas.

David Wagner said afterwards the first half was the worst 45 minutes they have played as a group since his arrival, after the Terriers conceded three times to leave themselves chasing the game.

Joe Lolley gave the fans hope with a goal within 60 seconds of the restart but when Ben Chilwell was adjudged to have fouled Alan Judge in the area and the penalty was converted, it killed Town hopes of a comeback.

Kyle Dempsey was rewarded for a fine individual second half display with a goal in stoppage time but it was too little too late - while many fans hailed the constant noise from the 1004-strong away end as the highlight.
