A total of 654 Huddersfield Town fans made the long journey south via train, bus and automobile to watch their team take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

While they might have prayed to the fixture gods for a sunny weekend in August, instead they got a grey January Saturday on the South Coast.

However, they remained loud and in good cheer as they backed their side, but unfortunately were not rewarded with points as they watched Town fall victim to a familiar foe in Anthony Knockaert - who set up both goals for Bobby Zamora and James Wilson to earn Brighton a 2-1 win.

While David Wagner said the team will learn a lot from this encounter , many fans took to social media to ask the board to splash the cash . A striker and defender are top of the wish list for the majority, especially with suspensions to come for Tommy Smith and Mark Hudson.
