Huddersfield Town fans turned in a superb performance off the pitch as they roared their team on with gusto against Preston North End.

Loud and varied songs echoed from the away end around Deepdale, prompting many home fans to salute their counterparts from Yorkshire.

Those supporters were left disappointed, as the celebrations from Nahki Wells' opening goal on 80 minutes were quickly cut short by the equaliser, followed by a stoppage time winner for Simon Grayson's men.

Following the final whistle, there was much debate over whether the issue centred around attack or defence as fans looked to explain how three points had eluded Town, who had dominated possession and chances for the vast majority of this Championship encounter only to leave empty-handed.

However, the away section, numbering more than 2000 in a 12,000-strong crowd, represented their club and county to the highest of standards.
