Huddersfield Town have got a first home win under David Wagner.

There was jubilation as the new boss picked up his first points at the John Smith's Stadium, at the third attempt, with victory over Rotherham United on Tuesday night.

A special strike from Muzzy Carayol in the first half set the Terriers on their way, and Ishmael Miller sealed the victory with a neat finish on 73 minutes.

Wagner professed himself delighted with the reaction from his players after falling to defeat against Bristol City on Saturday, although he was unhappy with the performance in the 15 minutes immediately after half time when passing started to go astray.

The fans were delighted with what was witnessed - especially Miller's strike, described by a few as a "Christmas Miracle" with tongues firmly in cheeks.

It was a fantastic early Christmas present for the Town faithful, and gives the team a platform from which to build ahead of the trip to Brentford at the weekend.
