ADAM PEARSON will not push the Ken Davy deadline for talks on Town.

Town’s owner has set a Thursday cut-off for Pearson to agree a 40% stake.

Davy’s plan would mean £1.7m of new money going straight to strengthen the team with additional cash being match pro-rata.

But the former Hull City chief today outlined his stance for a final time.

“If Ken is not interested in selling anything other than a minority stake then we have gone as far as we can go at this stage,” said Pearson.

“The offer remains on the table and if at any point in the future Ken wants to come back to me and talk then that’s fine.

“I can’t force him to sell a majority shareholding and if he doesn’t want to then I will retire into the background and watch the rest of the season with interest.

“Whatever happens, if anything has been achieved by this I hope it’s to show the requirement for investment directly into Town.”
