PETER JACKSON believes he is the envy of managers across the Coca-Cola rankings because of the blossoming young Galpharm talent at his disposal.
Premiership scouts from Bolton and Birmingham were joined by others from Wigan, Wolves, Sheffield United, Plymouth, Leeds and Rotherham to witness a storming display by Town.
It earned them a third straight win for the first time in a year and high praise from Jackson, who brought Junior Mendes into a 4-4-2 formation which stifled Wednesday.
"As usual, there were a lot of scouts and managers along to watch us and they will have gone away impressed," said Jackson, who included new signing Danny Adams on the bench.
"Not many teams have got the sort of excellent young talent in their first teams that we've got at the moment and I know I'm the envy of a lot of managers because of that.
"In addition to the back two, who were superb, I thought Adnan Ahmed did well, Jon Worthington had his best game for a while and Junior Mendes looked sharp, because he hasn't been involved for a long while.
"I was pleased for Worthy to score, too, because he hasn't got as many goals as he probably should have, but he's a real driving force in the team.
"It's a great result for us. Superb."
