MARSH FC and Wellington B will lock horns tomorrow in the Lockwood Private Hire Trophy final at Lepton Highlanders (2.00).
For Marsh, currently bottom of the Get Smart Kirklees Sunday League Division I, it is a battle to retain the trophy they won last season as they defeated Dalton FC 3-2 in the final at the same venue.
For Wellington B it is a chance to put the trials of a difficult season in Division II – where they lie next to bottom – behind them, though their cup exploits have left them with games in hand.
It could have been an all-Welly affair, but Marsh proved too strong for the A string as they ran out 4-1 winners in the semi-finals, however their B team came through 5-4 on penalties after drawing their semi 3-3 with Field Head.
