THE Kirklees Sunday League championship is up for grabs this weekend.

At Woodfield Park on Sunday (11.00) the home side take on Marsh United with the title at stake.

If Marsh win or draw then they take the title but if the home side take winning points then they take the glory with the title.

Marsh have risen virtually from the ashes as two seasons ago they were struggling with only eight players, down in sixth place in Division II and in a poor financial state.

But all that is behind them now.

They have a new sponsor in Mr David Johnson, of Temujin, and victory on Sunday would be a great boost.

But Woodfield will not let that worry them and they will be out to win their first Division I championship to add to their Challenge Cup win of 12 months ago.

* Bay Athletic take on Shepley tonight in the District FA Challenge Cup final.

It's at the Galpharm (7.00).
