OLDHAM manager Paul Dickov was left with mixed emotions after his side’s 1-0 loss at League One rivals Huddersfield.

Town striker Alan Lee struck decisively in the 86th minute to deny the Latics a point which Dickov felt their performance at the Galpharm Stadium deserved.

Dickov said: “I’m bitterly disappointed. I thought we were solid all day.

“I can’t fault the boys, their effort and application, everything I asked them, they’ve done it.

“We stood up against a very, very good team and I thought we performed really, really well.

“The one criticism I might have is that we maybe didn’t work the goalkeeper enough.

“I can’t fault the performance because it’s a tough place to come.

“Alex Cisak had a couple of saves to make in the first half but other than that and the goal I can’t remember him having a lot to do.

“I thought we looked more of a threat going forward but I’m just disappointed for them because we really deserved something from the game. I’m delighted with them.

“On another day, maybe we get a point or nick a goal.”
