TOWN boss Peter Jackson will look for a rapid response at Rotherham tomorrow after the "bitter disappointment" of a 2-0 home defeat by Brentford.

Although his team slumped back into the bottom half of League I (they fell from 11th to 13th) Jackson insists he hasn't given up hope of the play-offs.

But with a gap of 10 points between Town and sixth-placed Tranmere with 13 games to go, the manager admits: "We have to go on another run, and a really good one at that."

After the trip to Rotherham, who are seven points adrift at the bottom after Saturday's 1-0 loss at leaders Scunthorpe but have games in hand on all the sides immediately above them, Town host Crewe on Saturday, when Danny Schofield will be suspended.

He picked up a fifth caution of the season (for a tackle from behind in the final minute) in a game settled by strikes by Charlie Ide (49 minutes) and Jo Kuffour (58).

Jackson, whose side were watched by 10,520 - their first five-figure gate in five home games - added: "Rotherham will be like Brentford, battling for everything.

"We have to produce the same workrate as we did on Saturday but better quality on the ball.

"We were five unbeaten going into the game and confident we could turn them over, so it's a really bitter disappointment to have lost in the manner we did."
