Huddersfield Town’s next junior game has been brought forward to allow extra time to prepare for the big FA Youth Cup clash with holders Chelsea.

Tony Carss’ side face the Londoners in the fourth round at Aldershot on Tuesday, January 13 (7.05).

The Professional Development League II North clash with Barnsley will now be played on Friday, January 9 (1.30). The game at Barnsley’s academy (next to Oakwell) was originally set for the following day.

Town, who reached last season’s Youth Cup quarter-finals, were 2-0 home winners over Crystal Palace in round three.

Chelsea were 2-0 winners at Leeds United.

The young Blues are currently top of the Under 18 Premier League South section.

The club have won the Youth Cup three times in the last five seasons.

Town are top of the PDL II North.

Carss’ side have won four of their last five games.

Town’s next Under 21 game is at home to Nottingham Forest on Monday, January 5 (1.00).
