Huddersfield Town can expect to be playing to a full house when they visit St James' Park in August.

David Wagner's Town side are the visitors for Newcastle's first home game of the Championship season.

And bar a plum away draw in one of the cup competitions, the 52,000 capacity will ensure it's the biggest crowd Town will experience this term.

The Magpies have already announced the signing of goalkeeper Matz Sels and Dwight Gayle is expected to be confirmed on Thursday - with Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie also due on Tyneside for a medical.

Rafa Benitez's work in the transfer market appears to have inspired the supporters and the clash with Town on Saturday August 13 is already heading for a sell out.

It's the away clash that Town fans were most keenly anticipating ahead of the fixture release, and as soon as the date was confirmed plenty of fans expressed a desire to head north to populate the away section.

And supporters have been snapping up seasoncards at the John Smith's Stadium - still available at £179 for adults for the first 15,000.

Director Sean Jarvis has revealed that new prices for any bought beyond the 15,000 mark are set to be announced shortly.

On Wednesday Town confirmed their eighth senior signing of the summer - new record signing Christopher Schindler joins Michael Hefele and Chris Loewe in making the move from Germany to Yorkshire.
