WE always knew it was going to be a tough game and a tricky Cup-tie and so it proved.

Huddersfield were never going to come here and lay down and die, so we had to be ready to dig in and battle.

As a tie, it was a war of attrition and far from pretty, but the object of the exercise at this stage is simply to get into the next round and that's what we did.

The banana skin was there for Leeds United to slip on but we didn't and I'm very pleased about that.

It was a good game for us to have because if we'd been playing someone who didn't show any passion and fight, then I wouldn't have learned anything about my team and the way we are developing.

Now, I know I've got lads who will put their heads into the fray for me and for this club, because they had to fight all the way for the victory.

Huddersfield showed exactly why Jacko got them out of the Third Division last season and if they continue to play like they did against us every week, then they will be fine in League I, no doubt about that.

Just like me, I'm sure Peter would like to add some additional quality to his squad, but money is tight and you have to be pragmatic.

It was great to play them, though. The atmosphere was fantastic.
