Oscar Gobern is back at Huddersfield Town.

The club have cut short the midfielder’s loan spell at Chesterfield, which was due to end after Saturday’s League One game at Crewe Alexandra.

Gobern wasn’t given permission to play in last Sunday’s FA Cup first-round tie at Braintree Town.

The Spireites were 6-0 winners, and manager Paul Cook is set to stick with the same squad.

Gobern, who suffered a toe injury in pre-season and has yet to figure for Town, has made three appearances during his stint at the Proact Stadium.

The 23-year has played 67 Town games, 50 of then starts, and scored twice since signing from Southampton in 2011.
