TOWN’S two-goal FA Cup hero Malvin Kamara looked ahead to a second-round home clash against Carlisle or Grimsby but insisted: “Swansea is our immediate priority.”

Town head to South Wales for a Friday-night League I fixture chasing a fourth straight victory after Saturday’s come-from-behind 3-2 knockout win at Accrington Stanley.

Carlisle and Grimsby drew 1-1 in Cumbria and replay on the East coast a week tomorrow for the right to come to the Galpharm on Saturday, December 1.

Whoever they face, Andy Ritchie’s side have a point to prove, having lost 2-0 at home to Carlisle in a league game in August and 4-1 at Grimsby in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in September.

After Peter Cavanagh (12 minutes) and Paul Mullin (25) had struck for Stanley, Kamara’s goals in first-half stoppage time and the 83rd minute hauled Town back into the tie and set the stage for Luke Beckett’s 89th-minute clincher.

And the former Port Vale wingman beamed: “It was great to get the goals but even better that the team won.

“We didn’t start that well, but scoring just before half-time was a massive boost for us and we knew that if we kept going we could get an equaliser at least.

“We were always in control in the second half, and once we’d equalised, I think we all thought we could go on and get the winner and avoid the need for a replay.

“It was great to keep our winning run going and it’s great to have a home tie in round two, whether it’s against Carlisle or Grimsby, but the cup can wait for the time being.

“We go to Swansea on Friday and it’s crucial that we are all focused in getting three points from what will be a very tough fixture.

“They’re going well in the league and had a solid win in a tricky tie at Billericay on Saturday.

“It’s a long trip down there, but we’ll prepare well and after recent results, we can go into the game with confidence.”

Swansea have a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Southern area quarter-final clash with Yeovil at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow.
