Former Huddersfield Town striker Theo Robinson has joined Port Vale after leaving Motherwell.

The 27-year-old Jamaican international had two spells in blue and white stripes.

He scored 16 goals in 45 games between July 2009, when he signed from Watford, and January 2011, when he joined Millwall after a loan spell there.

Robinson returned to Town on loan from Derby County in February 2013, playing six times but failing to find the net.

The Birmingham-born player, who has also played for Doncaster Rovers, left Motherwell after four months, 11 appearances and no goals.

His teammates at Fir Park included fellow former Town man Lionel Ainsworth.

League I Vale have also signed winger Matthew Kennedy on loan from Cardiff City, who visit Town on Saturday.
