Huddersfield Town could be facing a Premier League striker in the big West Yorkshire derby against Leeds United.

The Elland Road club – who have former Town loan man Mustapha Carayol in their line-up – are again being linked with a move for Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty.

The emergency loan window still has a week to run and Lafferty, who is not getting a look-in at Carrow Road, is desperate for match action ahead of appearing for Northern Ireland at Euro 2016.

Whether a deal could be done before the weekend remains open to question, with Steve Evans’ side aiming to build on a three-match winning run and Town looking for only a second win in six at Championship level to try and increase a six-point gap on the drop zone.
