LEE CLARK stepped up Town’s League I play-off final preparations today with the message: “Our previous meetings with Peterborough mean nothing now.”

The sides have a win apiece with the other of the three clashes, at the Galpharm last month, ending in a 1-1 stalemate.

But Clark, who brings his squad back from a team-bonding trip today, insisted: “The slate is wiped clean and it’s cup-final football. We have to be ready for that, and we will be.”

Clark was at London Road to see Posh get past MK Dons in their semi-final last Thursday, and said: “It was good to see them first-hand.

“Myself and (assistant manager) Terry McDermott took in that game while (first-team coach) Paul Stephenson and (development coach) Steve Watson saw the first leg.

“We also scouted their recent league games, but it’s all about how we approach the game.”
