AFC Emley go into tomorrow’s home fixture with Staveley MW (3.00) with hopes of promotion to the Northern Counties East Premier hanging in the balance.

The NCEL committee have announced a number of teams from the Premier Division could face relegation to the First if their grounds are not up to standard by the end of March.

This could open the door for teams outside the top two (including Emley) to go for promotion.

With clear leaders Scarborough virtually assured of top spot and Askern Villa looking strong contenders for second place, Rainworth, Pontefract and Emley occupy the next places.

Emley are fifth and will be looking to improve on their goalless draw at Rossington last Saturday. Staveley are on an unbeaten run of 12 games in the League and are 10th.

Emley manager Ian Banks is still without centre-back Tom Burgin and utility man Lee Hill. Young striker Jamie Clayton gets a recall.

Emley: Green, Joice, Leech, Higginbottom, Hazeleden, Wilson (D), Stuart, Townsend, Kenworthy, Thomas, Armitage, Tomlinson, Farrell, Clapham, Clayton.
