IT'S BEEN business as usual for Paul Rachubka since his switch to Blackpool.

The man who was unable to dislodge Matt Glennon as Town's first-choice keeper has so far played second fiddle to Rhys Evans at Bloomfield Road.

But he's determined to force his way into manager Simon Grayson's thinking after agreeing a loan deal through to the summer, when his Town contract ends.

"My future is not at Huddersfield, that is clear," said the California-born 25-year-old who was raised in Stockport and started out at Manchester United, playing for England at Under 16, 18 and 20 level.

"I have been told that along with some other players.

"I want to do my best for Blackpool and put pressure on the manager to make it difficult every Friday when he picks his team."

Rachubka, who joined Town from Charlton in 2004 having had a loan spell at the Galpharm, added: "It has been a very difficult time for me at Huddersfield and a frustrating season.

"But coming to Blackpool has been a clean start.

"The team has done fantastically well and I am joining at the right time.

"But I am not coming here expecting to get in the team – I know I have to work at it."

Before Rachubka's arrival, Grayson had opted for five outfield players on the bench.

Rachubka, whose only Town appearance this season was as a substitute in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat by Doncaster, played four games while on loan to Peterborough over Christmas.
