Huddersfield Town manager Mark Robins should look to offload just four Town players during the close season, according to supporters.

Town have already brought in two new signings in Joe Murphy and Lee Peltier in this transfer window and could acquire more to bolster the squad numbers.

The news that Middlesbrough have had a bid rejected for Adam Clayton will also raise Town fans' eyebrows as the club's 2013/2014 Player of the Year' future is suddenly thrown into doubt.

We asked readers to assess each of the first-team squad as it stands and lend their thoughts on which players should be kept on this summer and those who should be sold.

After crunching the numbers, the results made for some interesting reading.

Beyond last season's first-choice trio of Adam Clayton, Oliver Norwood and Jonathan Hogg, midfield resources appear to be in precious supply and the fact Oscar Gobern is voted by 81.75% of fans as one for the scrapheap seems to indicate fans feel a new body is required in there.

They may feel equally open to a new arrival on the flanks, with Sean Scannell also considered as a dispensable option from Town's options out wide by 56.88% of fans.

There were no surprises with the two other players listed either, as out-of-favour strike duo Jonathan Stead and Martin Paterson emerged as the strikers fans are not keen to retain.

Only 4.76% of fans believe Stead should be allowed to stay while the verdict on Paterson was slightly less damning but 83.07% of supporters are still hoping the Northern Irishman will exit this summer.

The only other players that appeared to closely split the fanbase were Matt Crooks and Jordan Sinnott, who just edged over the 50% mark.

With fellow young talents Philip Billing (90.74% of fans wish to keep the Dane) and Duane Holmes (hoping to be retained by 88.1% of fans) afforded a more favourable share of the vote, it appears the former duo have their work cut out in building their way back into the fans' reckoning.
