FORMER Chesterfield right-back Alex Bailey has been training with Town – but a deal is unlikely.
That’s because boss Andy Ritchie already has Aaron Hardy, Frank Sinclair and Andy Holdsworth, who can all play in the position.
The 24-year-old Londoner, who started his career at Arsenal, was released by Chesterfield in the close-season after three years and 102 games.
“Alex’s agent is David Eyres, who I know from Oldham, and he asked if he could train with us to keep up his fitness while he seeks another club,” explained Ritchie.
“I was pleased to help out, and Alex has been working really hard.”
Former Town trialist Phil Marsh has signed for Blackpool until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old, who played in the final Reserve match of last season against Bradford, had been on trial at Bloomfield Road for six weeks.
He had previously had a short stint at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
