Rotherham United have, as expected, completed the permanent signing of Huddersfield Town player Danny Ward.
The 24-year-old joined the Millers in an initial loan move on Friday to allow him to play in Saturday’s Championship game at Brentford, who won 1-0.
Ward has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the fee reported to be £375,000.
The Bradford-born player, a reported £1m signing from Bolton Wanderers in 2011, would have been out of contract at Town this summer.
He had made only four Town starts this term, plus 10 appearances from the bench.
Overall, his Town tally was 140 games (95 starts) and 21 goals.
Rotherham have also taken Town wideman Adam Hammill on loan for the rest of the season.
