Rotherham United have ruled out any interest in signing Adam Hammill from Huddersfield Town on a permanent basis.

The 27-year-old wide player joined the Millers on loan in January and made four starts and 10 substitute appearances as they clinched Championship survival.

“Adam is a good kid but he just couldn’t break into the team,” said Rotherham manager Steve Evans of the former Wolves player, who still has a year on his Town deal.

Liverpool product Hammill, who has also played for Barnsley, had a loan spell at Town before making his move from Molineux permanent two years ago.

In total, he has made 54 starts and 19 appearances from the bench for Town, scoring seven goals.
