TOWN lost their unbeaten home League I record as leaders Norwich hit back after going behind to Neal Trotman's second-minute goal.
The Canaries netted three times in the last 22 minutes after the Town centre-back headed home from a Gary Roberts corner in a storming start to the contest.
Town bossed the first half and Lee Novak came agonisingly close to a second goal in the 15th minute.
But Norwich showed their title credentials after the break as Grant Holt levelled with his 27th goal of the season from Wes Hoolahan's cross in the 69th minute.
On-loan Preston striker Stephen Elliott tapped home his first goal for the club from Holt's cross five minutes later, then doubled his personal tally by sliding home Simon Lappin's 85th-minute centre.
