JORDAN RHODES chalked up a quickfire hat trick as Town recorded a stylish and much-needed win.

The striker's goals, which followed Lee Novak's well-taken 17th-minute opener, were all headers and took his tally for the campaign to 11.

After Novak netted with a shot from Michael Collins' unselfish pass, Rhodes claimed his first in the 44th minute, converting Anthony Pilkington's cross.

Pilkington was again the provider in the 50th minute, while Rhodes' 52nd-minute effort came from a Gary Roberts corner.

Town, who move up a place to eighth in League I after their first win in seven games, were in control throughout, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies scarcely troubled.
