JORDAN RHODES insists he’ll be doing “100% for Town” until he’s told otherwise.

The 40-goal frontman got barely a sniff of a chance in the League I play-off final against Sheffield United at Wembley – glancing one header just wide – but did slot one of the penalties which gave Town an 8-7 shoot-out win.

Rhodes immediately left to join up with the Scotland Under 21 side to play a European qualifier against Bulgaria in Lovech on Thursday, but he was refusing to take off his npower promotion medal as he left the national stadium with speculation already rife about possible big-club interest in his signature.

“What happens in the future is not for me to decide – that’s up to the people that run and manage the club,” said Rhodes, who is contracted until 2015.

“Until I’m told otherwise, I’ll be giving 100% for Huddersfield Town and giving it my all.”

Rhodes, who has six goals for the Under 21s to add to his Town tally, said he was feeling weary after playing in 40 degree heat for 120 minutes and then enduring the shoot-out.

“Becoming a Championship club has always been the aim and the target since I came to the club, and now we are there it’s fantastic,” he explained.

“It will take a while for it all to sink in that we’ve won the League I play-offs and we are a Championship club with a fantastic but tough challenge ahead next season.

“For us, it’s third time lucky and, while we feel for Sheffield United because we know what it’s like to lose – it’s horrible – we are delighted to have done it.

“There wasn’t much in the match, both teams just seemed to cancel each other out and maybe we were both a bit cautious and nervous going into it. To come out the other side, though, just makes it all feel so much better.

“We have got a great squad here, a terrific group of lads, and the loan players we’ve had in have been fantastic as well, so everyone deserves credit. We can certainly look forward to next season.”

On the international, he added: “I don’t drink, so it makes it a lot easier sticking to the water and juices and getting the right sort of sleep and rest so that I can get the niggles right which I’ve got.

“I’ll be icing up, too, because I’ve got such a tired body at the moment. Going away on international duty is something I’m looking forward to and, obviously, I will be doing my best if selected.”
