Huddersfield Town defender Jordan Williams is targeting an eighth England Under 17 appearance against Germany at Rotherham United on Friday.

It’s the second of two friendlies against the Germans in three days, with Williams playing the whole of Wednesday’s 5-3 defeat at St George’s Park.

The centre-back from Meltham has been with Town since the age of nine and while still an Under 16 player, is a regular at Under 18 level.

Town forward Jake Charles earned his fourth Wales Under 21 cap in Tuesday’ European Championship qualifier against Romania.

He went on off the bench for the second half of the 1-1 draw at Wrexham.

Town defender Joe Wright, currently on loan at Accrington Stanley, was an unused substitute.
