I WILL be one of the many thousands travelling to Cardiff on Monday hoping to cheer on Town to play-off glory at the Millennium Stadium.
I am going as a guest of our chief executive Ralph Rimmer who is, of course, now a director of the football club.
It promises to be a great occasion, and I would be over the moon if Town were promoted.
It really has struck me since I returned to the Giants how much closer the two clubs have become.
When I first arrived at the McAlpine as assistant coach to Tony Smith in 2001, there was very little interaction between the football and rugby league club.
Now, however, it's a totally different situation.
Obviously, the fact our chairman Ken Davy is now the owner of Town has a lot to do with that.
But there's a lot more to do with it than that.
A lot of this stems from my excellent working relationship with Town manager Peter Jackson.
I've mentioned before how we spend a fair amount of time in the McAlpine corridors exchanging coaching ideas and giving updates on how our respective teams are getting on.
Peter has been to a few of our games and has enjoyed what he's seen.
And I dearly hope I enjoy seeing Town get the victory they need on Monday.
There's a real upbeat mood throughout the stadium right now, and I hope that's the case again after Monday.
